RAINY AFTERNOONS + NETFLIX FAVS

Hey folks! Hope you are all well on this lovely Saturday afternoon, lets catch up.

Living in London can sometimes bring the occasional rainy afternoon which us Brits have grown very  accustomed  too.

As everyone knows when it’s raining outside, it calls for a cheeky takeaway and a Netflix binge, so I thought I’ll  let you guys know what shows I’ve been recently loving.

Stranger Things

I am OBSESSED with this series!

Aliens, mystery, men in lab coats and a soundtrack that reminds us how great the 80’s were; what more can you possibly ask for .

This is a Netflix original series, starring the lady of the 90’s, Winona Ryder; who is the mother of the main character, Will Byers. Based in a small Indiana town in 1983- inspired by a time when stories of science fiction had audiences at the edge of their seats. Joyce’s (Winona Ryder) 12- year old son, Will goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation to the towns local authorities.  As the series unravels mysterious government experiment’s, unsettling supernatural forces, and a very unusual little girl (who is a splitting image of Charlie Theron..spooky)

I really don’t want to give any spoilers but it is definitely worth the watch, consisting of only 8 episodes, I’m hoping season 2 will be coming out soon *squeals*

Pokémon

I can only imagine everyone is screaming at the screen right about now, but I have to be honest with you guys. With the launching of Pokemon Go – I feel like my childhood has returned more fabulous than ever. It’s a really easy watch, something to wind down too after a long day at work, or you can have it on in the background whilst answering emails or catching up on instagram/twitter. Lovvvvvve it! And I know deep down you guys love it too.

Scream

Now, if any of you guys like me, love watching thriller/horror films, you may recall the infamous American teenage slasher films SCREAM (if you took media studies, you’ve probably seen it).

MTV has taken this beauty under their wing and gave it a bit of glam for us modern day viewers. Teenagers, romance, murder and more mystery; this had me hooked like bait on a fishing rod lol. With 2 seasons now on Netflix it’s the ultimate evening treat!

Power

Before I start explaining just how amazing this tv series is, I can’t stress enough that you should be 18+ or older if you want to watch this, it definitely is aimed for adult viewers. NOW!! Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent co-executively produced this tv series so you know it’s going to be good. 3 seasons down and the cliff-hangers and scandal keeps on coming. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m going to leave the trailer for the series here.

Just trust me on this one

Let me know what your favourites on Netflix  are for a rainy afternoon
